Extension:

6. Long stay O-X (age of 50 and over with 5 years of stay in Thailand)

Eligible applicants:

ONLY nationals of the following countries, including spouses and children aged under 20 years old: Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA

Period of stay:

5 years with multiple entries

Validity of visa sticker:

5 years

Visa Fee:

350 CHF

Extension:

Possible for another 5 years after the first 5 years. An application with one of the Thai participating insurance certificates can be submitted for an extension or Re-Entry Permit (Single or Multiple entries) at the immigration office in Thailand.

Benefits / Conditions:

- Can work as a volunteer (following the list of volunteer work as stipulated by the Department of Employment)

- Can purchase vehicles (under the provision of laws on motor vehicles).

- Can purchase a condominium (proceed by the Condominium Act).

7. Non-Immigrant "M" Medias

Eligible applicants:

- Must be affiliated with or employed by a credible and reliable media entity. The said media entity must be duly registered with the competent authority in Thailand or abroad for a minimum of 6 months at the time of submission of the visa application.

- Employed solely as a media professional without engaging in other occupations during the entire period of stay in the Kingdom of Thailand

- Discharge media duties in the Kingdom of Thailand for a minimum of 90 days and produce a minimum of 10 reports per annum about Thailand or the region

- Must not have previously made any coverage or behaved in such a way that would constitute a threat to society, public order, and public safety, nor have been a wanted individual per arrest warrant of a foreign government

- Must not have a previous record of providing false information on a visa application

8. Non-Immigrant "F" (holders of an ordinary passport for an official mission)

This type of visa is issued to ordinary passport holders who wish to assume duties for a short period at a foreign mission, consulate, or international organization in Thailand.
