You can book an appointment online by selecting “Passport” Service, filling in your personal information, contact number, and email. Choose an available date (indicated in green) and enter the Security Code.
General Information
- Children born in Switzerland/Liechtenstein who wish to apply for their first Thai passport must first obtain a Thai birth certificate from the Consular Section of the Royal Thai Embassy before they can apply for a passport. Click here to learn more about obtaining a Thai birth certificate.
- After obtaining the Thai birth certificate, it is advised to register the child’s name in a Thai household registration (Tabien Baan) at the District Office as soon as possible. The father/mother can register the child themselves or authorize someone else to do so on their behalf.
- For the second passport onward, the applicant must already be listed in a Thai household registration, otherwise a new passport cannot be issued.
- For passport applications for minors under 20 years old, both parents and/or legal guardians must appear in person with the minor to sign their consent.
