ประกาศเตือนคนไทยในสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ เรื่อง ภัยจากขบวนการมิจฉาชีพ Call Center ฉบับที่ 2

Since 10 February 2025, the Royal Embassy in Bern has been receiving several reports from the Thai community in Switzerland regarding fraudulent calls using the names of the Embassy officials. These calls seem to originate from various Swiss telephone numbers, including a spoofed Embassy’s telephone number.

The scammers may ask for your personal information and will try to persuade you in various ways to follow their instructions and transfer money. If you receive a call from an unfamiliar number, please be aware that the person on the other end may be a "scammer."

The Embassy wishes to emphasize that we do not contact Thai nationals in Switzerland by phone unless they are receiving consular services. If you have doubts or need to verify any information, please contact the Embassy at [email protected].

How to deal with call center scammers:

  • If you receive a call from an unfamiliar number, be cautious as the person you are talking to may be a "scammer."
  • Do not provide personal information.
  • Collect information about the caller, such as the phone number, record audio, and take screenshots of the conversation.
  • Report the incident to local police and the online reporting center for Thai nationals abroad who may be victims of online criminal activity at www.thaipoliceonline.com
  • Check your applications for any unusual activity and consider changing your passwords periodically.
