The Royal Thai Embassy in Bern organized Online Thai Dessert Cooking Demonstration and launched “Taste of Thailand Corner” at Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland (CAAS) Lucerne Campus

The Royal Thai Embassy in Bern is organizing series of activities under the Thai Kitchen to the World Project 2021, which also coincides with this year celebration on the auspicious occasion of the 90th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and Switzerland. On 28 January 2021, Thai Dessert Cooking Demonstration by Chef Rapeepat Boriboon, Thai Cooking Instructor, was on live from
Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Culinary School in Thailand and viewed by over 70 students and instructors of the Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland Lucerne campus (or César Ritz Colleges). While being impressed by the Thai cooking, the participants have shown not only their interest in getting some tips and techniques from the Thai Instructor but also their enthusiasm to learn more about Thai dessert and Thai cuisine.

In addition to the cooking demonstration, Ambassador Chakri Srichawana, Ambassador of Thailand to Switzerland, also visited the Lucerne Campus in the same day and presented a number of Thai food and Thai cook books (in English) to set up “Taste of Thailand Corner” at the library of the Colleges.  By this mean, the Embassy wished that the cook books would open the windows for instructors and students of the Colleges, future chefs-to-be, to learn to know and understand more about Thai Cuisine.
